How to find us

Anyone who wants to get around in Stuttgart will find a well developed public transport system. S-Bahn (regional trains), Stadtbahn (trams) and buses of the Stuttgart transport network (VVS) and Stuttgart tram service (SSB)  provide good service from early in the morning to late at night.

The Stuttgart Airport offers flights to destinations inside and outside of Europe. The airports in Frankfurt or Munich Airport are easily reachable by high-speed train from Stuttgart.
From Stuttgart Airport, take lines regional trains («S-Bahn») S2 or S3, in the direction of «Schorndorf» or «Backnang». Get off at Vaihingen and change to a bus to «Max-Planck-Institute». If you plan to arrive by the Deutsche Bahn (German Railway) you will find excellent connections to many European capitals. Take regional train («S-Bahn») lines S1, S2 or S3 to direction «Herrenberg» or «Flughafen».  Get off at Universität or Vaihingen and change to the bus to «Max-Planck-Institute».
