  • The Welcome Seminar lays the groundwork by offering a concise overview of the curriculum, showcasing the diversity of our research, and highlighting the various groups involved.

  • Lecture courses given by IMPRS-CMS PI's provide an opportunity for you to familiarize yourself with topics that may be new to you.

  • Summer and Winter Schools for a multidisciplinary educational experiences and overviews of the state-of-the-art in selected research areas.

  • Transferable skills that complement your academic curriculum.

  • Regular meetings with your Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC) to guarantee good supervision.

  • PhD Defense Talk Seminars provide the opportunity to present your defence talk to a larger audience and to give current doctoral candidates the idea of what such a talk could look like.

  • Introductory seminar "PI of the Month" gives an overview of the research field in the various groups of the IMPRS-CMS. Lab tours are occasionally offered, providing an engaging opportunity to explore the research facilities.

  • The Annual Retreat is a key event of the year, providing a relaxed environment to explore scientific ideas beyond the lab or desk. It’s a chance to connect with fellow scientists and share insights in a informal setting.
