Information for Applicants holding a Bachelor's Degree

To foster the cooperation with the University of Stuttgart and to promote students at an early stage of their scientific career, the IMPRS-CMS and the MSc in Physics program have established a joint fellowship program for highly qualified master students.

The stipend is about 800 € per month for 1.5 years. The acceptance by the University of Stuttgart in one of the participating Master programs is mandatory for the receipt of the stipend.
We also welcome applications from currently enrolled students with excellent academic achievements.

For information about the mode of application and deadlines at the University of Stuttgart, please check the course pages of the Master Programs. Please not that non-EU students have to pay tuition fees of 1500 € per semester for Bachelor and Master studies at universities in Baden-Württemberg which cannot be covered by the IMPRS-CMS. This does not hold for PhD students.

Every fellowship holder will be assigned a mentor from the list of Principal Investigators of the IMPRS. Beside the official coursework, the fellowship holders can be involved on a voluntary basis in the ongoing research activities of the mentor's group.

Note: On this page you can only apply for a stipend, not for admission to the University course!
